I was in Oklahoma in Late April and I was able to find Forty-Foot
Pug. The clues weren't 100% accurate and the area is actually pretty
popular. There is a chance it may have been discovered or you were
mislead by the directions.

We hiked to hanging lake on Aug. 12th and did not see either box. The
instructions definitely need an update. The hanging lake box was
described as "after the fifth and final bridge". There are about 7-8
bridges, and we searched everything around all of them.
We weren't very sure on the spouting rock box though. As you hike up
from the lake, the trial hugs the left side of the canyon. We found a
side trail off to the left and it was located near a rock bridge as
described. However, it was very steep and did not level off as
described; it just ended. Furthermore, the description mentioned the
rocks being on your left as you ascend; the rocks were on our right.
Is there another trail back down from spouting rock?
